Private Performance with Indigenous for Mediterranean Nights Dinner in Santa Clara - August 1, 2009
Bahira, Aniq and Fara'Asha of Indigenous were pleased to perform for a private party as part of an Auctioned Dinner/Entertainment Package to raise money for Washington Open Elementary school. Two families and their guests were the recipients of the $800 package auctioned last year which included a gourmet dinner for ten catered in house. Parent volunteers from the student body converted the house into a sumptuous palace with dining area and tea salon. Top notch service and an incredible array of scrumptious Mediterranean dishes were provided by selected parents as well as post party clean-up for the lucky winners.
Also included in the package was dancing entertainment provided by Indigenous performing a 20 minute set of traditional belly dances that included sword, cane, zils and a short lesson for audience participation.
The organizer of the party reports: " The event went great! It was such a grand success. Our guests had a wonderful time. The decorations, the amazing food and the entertainment exceeded their expectations! "
